Not just the crescent moon inlays which are attractive. It is the fast, comfortable Mahogany neck and Ebony fret board which takes it two steps higher than the usual maple neck/rosewood combo you will find on most all SG Specials before and after.This one was built only between the year of 2002 into mid-year 2003. A very short production run making it rare then and more so today and as the years go by. Very desirable to players because it delivers Gibson greatness in every way. Desirable for collectors because it is unique and becoming harder to find these in good, collectable condition.This one would satisfy either buyer. Playing it produces all the facets of Gibson greatness regarding tone, sustain and fantastic sonic voicing from two ideally matched 490 humbucker pickups. The condition is Great. Has normal signs of wear.
