You are looking at an early 1973 Maestro Echoplex. This is the highly desirable early Echoplex Black–Face model. This Echoplex is in fantastic condition for 43+ years of use. This unit has been recently overhauled by *the* highly renowned Echoplex repair expert, Tony Krank, at Orbit Electronix. It is clean, odorless, and is shipping with new high quality tape. It easily delivers the quiet, warm lush repeats that the Echoplex is famous for.Don’t be misled by exaggerated marketing hype: NO TAPLESS ANALOG OR DIGITAL PEDAL HAS CAPTURED THE SOUND, FEEL, AND PERFORMANCE OF A REAL CALIBRATED ECHOPLEX, PERIOD! Perhaps someday, just not today.I literally just re-spooled the cartridge with the tape, plugged in, and played a few chords to verify everything’s is in top working order. Under my ownership, it has been used in a smoke free, pet free temperature and humidity controlled studio. This unit works flawlessly as it did when new. There are no issues with mechanical noise, excessive Wow & Flutter, or white noise. You will not find this on most used Echoplex’s for sale at this price. This EP-3 is in collector-condition, tuned up, and ready for use.Full Disclosure:· As shown in the pics, there are the typical signs of light use for a well maintained Echoplex of 43 years. This includes minor scuffs on the outer case and some minor pitting on some of the metal parts.· Included are pics of a hairline crack in each of the two control knobs, the Record light, an on one side of the tape cover, that have been repaired (glued) sometime prior to me owning it. The glue has held up just fine for me, as I have been very gentle with it.· US 120 VAC Operation· Auction includes only what you see in the pics: 1 Echoplex + Tape.· Buyer agrees to pay within 24 hours of auction ending.Bid with confidence, ask any question prior to bidding, and good luck!
