I'm going to be sad parting with these beauties, but I'm scaling down my studio setup and moving premise to focus solely on mixing. So all the front end gear, mics, pre-amps etc are having to go. These pre-amps are simply world class. As you would expect from supreme quality tube pre-amps they impart a fantastic 3D depth onto the audio. They are really versatile with a separate input and output stages. This means you can increase or decrease the colour/ saturation of the tube (via input stage) whilst maintaining a healthy signal to your DAW. Great example of when this pre amps sings is dynamic vocals. Crank the gain to 10+ the pre and the really loud parts of the vocal will distort nicely, adding real character to the performance, whilst the quieter sections will remain clean(ish) in comparison. If you want this character on very quite sounds, like soft vocals, you'll need to boost the signal before it hits the 6-10. You can also control the tone of the audio via the different impedance options. The EQ is musical and works great as part of the tracking process. I found it really nice to have decent amount of control early on for shaping your sound, making things more balanced (and easier) laster i the mix stage. Condition: The unit is in superb condition...almost mint. There is only 1 very minor mark on the top of the unit (see photos) and a tiny bit of white paint missing from the text on the right hand EQ section (see photo). It's been slotted in a rack since I bought it 5 years ago and been used 2 or 3 times a month for tracking since then. Look after it and it will last for decades. Postage: Collection in person from UK residents is ideal, but i'll post Royal Mail Recorded Delivery to within the UK. International postage options include using eBay's Global Shipping Program so international buyers can purchase, but I post to the UK shipping center, then the rest is in eBay's hands. NOTE: The unit will obviously have the UK power supply adaptor. Here's a link to how it all works: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/shipping-globally.html
