Here for your consideration is a vintage 1965 Gibson ES-120T with a 70's era case. This 120 is surprising a great guitar, especially since these models are considered on the 'budget line' for Gibson (The Fender Musicmaster of the Gibson world).  Well, it certainly looks and sounds the part.  If you're a live player on the jazz or blues scene you'll without doubt look the part with this one.  I find these ES-120's work well as a slide guide too as their design is so simple yet effective. This one is first and foremost a great playing vintage Gibson as is.  It is set up well with no buzzing, all notes play and there are no dead-notes when string bending.  I have just treated the fretboard with Fret Doctor and it is as smooth as sink showing a beautiful, dark and detailed rosewood cap.  The original frets themselves are in very good condition with little to wear.  The electrics function well as does the single coin pickup. The 210 is mostly all original apart from the (rubbish) wooden bridge has been replaced with a typical tune-o-matic style bridge and if you look very closely the tuners are not stock, yet could well be period correct.  Let none of this put you off, these adjustments certainly improve the playing performance of the 120.  The original bridges for these were and are awful (you could probably pick one up for £10 or less) and the banjo style tuners which are installed are warriors, they will last forever and keep the 120 in tune perfectly.  The entire guitar has been inspected under a UV black-light and there is nothing to report: there is no touch up to the finish, the nut is original and there have been no breaks or repairs to the instrument at all.  The serial number is 435197.In summary you're looking at a beautiful example of a very affordable vintage Gibson instrument from 1965.   Anyone is welcome to come and view or chat on the phone, 07943 633860.
