This is a 1941 Buescher Aristocrat Big B Alto. This is a beautiful well cared for saxophone that has the most unbelievable sound this horn has the most warm and accurate tone I've heard, fantastic!!
It will not disappoint. This is a players horn that is in wonderful condition a couple of tiny dings (see photo) for its age. It also has the sought after '01' neck which makes this horn sing is even better. Speaking of age this is a pre-war horn I've owned three Big B altos and this is the only pre-war and there is a difference, the brass in this horn is incredible the body/bow/bell are thicker which gives it that warmer sound. It was never re-lacquered and most of its lacquer is long gone, so it has that great bare brass patina, the rollers are original and some of the smaller keys have had the spuds ground out and replaced with regular pads but like I said this horn is meant to be played which is why I have to sell it, I just don't play enough and it should be with someone who will. Please buyer take good care of this horn it is 75 years old and still amazing, protect for next generation is all I ask.
