This is by far the best amp I've ever owned - I've got 2 of these and I'm selling 1 for now. This is designed as a keyboard amp but is so versatile and well designed it could work for almost anyone in the band.I've got the factory description below, but here's why I found it to be so incredibly cool - especially for keyboard players.1. Lots of stereo inputs. Left & Right are powered individually with balanced line outs in the back.2. There's a Tube Amp section - Channel 1 - for your organ with overdrive controls as well - could be used for guitar too. (can control with a foot switch - I don't have) This has full EQ to dial it in.3. Solid State Channel - #2 - with full EG.4. More Channels for XLR Mic input & RCA with separate volume control.5. Master control for stage volume control - doesn't effect line out volume.6. Monitor Input on the back with volume control - so you can run your overall monitor mix into this amp and use it as your stage monitor - this is really a cool feature.7. Tons of power should you need it. 8. It sounds incredible in all ranges from the sub-sonic synth bass tones, through the entire mid-range to high strings.9. Rugged - overbuilt to withstand travel and the weather with a rugged grill cage, top loaded fans to keep it cool in the heat, handles on the side to make it easy to carry, tilted cabinet design to set upright or as a wedge in a small footprint - it's not too heavy either.10. It looks very cool too  - this can sit on any stage from the most elite venue to a dance party in a barn and it sings "pro gear".If you were design my own keyboard amp - this would be it.These cast about $1,100 new. I've got a soft cover that I'll throw in for free.Like I mentioned I've got 2 of these - I've got 1 road case (that's beat up but works very well) I'll sell with the amp for an additional $100.Shipping will be free - but it'll cost me about $100The one I'm selling in this auctions is WITHOUT the road case. If you want that, we'll have to add it to the cost.Due to a medical conditional I'm having to retire and selling off a lot of gear. Please look at my other auctions as well.Good Luck !Background:
In the 1970s, Yorkville Sound was the first company we know of to design and build dedicated keyboard amplification. That was their ground-breaking "RVS" line. Since then their introduction of the Traynor Bloc-100K in the early 1980s, Stage 100K in the later 80s and a succession of influential models since then has established Yorkville as a premier innovator in this field. The Traynor K series makes this amply clear.K4 Details:
The Canadian-built Traynor K4 is an advanced, extremely versatile stereo keyboard amplifier capable of delivering a wide and varied tone pallet at high stage volume levels. Flagship of the Traynor K series, the K4 uses three separate integrated amplifiers to deliver true stereo separation of the mid and high frequencies with the added bottom end of a separate 200-Watt low-frequency amplifier driving a 12-inch woofer. A pair of 50 watt amplifiers powers 4.5-inch midrange and 2.5-inch high-frequency drivers mounted in stereo pairs on an angled front baffle. This variation of the 2.1 speaker configuration allows a stereo image to be amply felt onstage. One of the most versatile amplifiers of its kind, the K4 offers four channels and a switch-selectable choice of tube or solid-state input stages. The tube circuit uses a pair of 12AX7As for adding warmth and smoothness to the often-sterile sound of modern digital keyboards. Thanks to Lead Level and OD Trim controls, you can create natural tube compression and recreate the subtle dynamics that can't be properly emulated by most of today's digital workstations. For greater effect, this preset can be footswitched in and out. The crisp, clean solid-state input stage is ideal for those times when precise definition of acoustic samples or instruments is required. Versatile inputs allow two stereo sources to be connected to Channel One, while an additional stereo source or a microphone can be connected to Channel Two. Channel Three can handle an additional stereo keyboard or any other source including MP3 player or laptop where additional EQ control isn't required. Channels One and Two have separate 3-band EQ's for tone shaping, while Channel One offers an additional 5-position Voicing circuit with four presets - Studio, Live, Piano & Organ - plus an Off setting. An indepenant fourth stereo input channel with its own Gain control can be found on the rear panel of the K4. It directly feeds the power amp section, bypassing the Line Out and Master volume. This versatile feature allows an external click track, drum monitor mix or monitor feed from the PA or recording console to be played through the K4 as if it were a monitor and without being in the audience or recorded mix.Built for the rigors of the road, the Traynor K4 is manufactured using a solid, void-free plywood cabinet construction and an all-metal grille to protect the high quality speaker components. Features:
- True Stereo Configuration in a combo amplifier format
- 300 watts (200 watts low frequency, 2 x 50 watts mid / high frequencies)
