Here is an opportunity to own a rare, USA-built, Steinberger XL2 bass. This bass was just restored and set-up by Jeff Babicz, who was the former head of production at the Steinberger Sound factory in Newburgh, N.Y. Jeff refretted the neck and mirror polished the frets, disassembled, cleaned and lubricated the bridge, and serviced the electronics. Jeff''s restoration work is legendary, as he was the head of production at the Steinberger factory in Newburgh for many years, and his abilities in Steinberger restoration are breathtaking. This bass in now in stunning condition (see photos). Now that all of this work has been completed, this incredible bass should need no any further attention for the next 25 years. A perfect playing bass that's been serviced by the world's top Steinberger tech, it now plays and performs as well as (or probably better than) the day that it first left the factory. This Steinberger XL2 bass will ship in a new black HeadlessUSA gig-bag with a new black cotton strap and a copy of Jeff's work-order.
