1926 Gibson L1 - Rare Amber Finish - 1st Year of the Flattop - Perfect Player w Orig Geib Case - Beautiful Guitar - Incredible Sound - New Luthier Set-Up Ready to Play I've collected many early Gibson L1s and this is hands-down the best sounding, most resonant and soulful L1 I've owned.  It is a beautiful guitar with the rare Amber finish rather than the more common Sheraton Brown and Blonde shellack finishes of the era.  This is one of the earliest 1926 models, the first year that Gibson introduced the flattop guitar, and the last of the hand-rubbed shellack finishes before Gibson moved on to using nitrocellulose on all its acoustic guitars.  This L1 features its original Waverly strip tuners and likely original pyramid bridge that shows later ebony dowels in each wing.  It is in excellent condition for a 90-year-old guitar, with typical signs of wear including minor scuffs and scratches, marks on the neck from some former player's capo, as well as small divots where a tailpiece had been installed at some point in this guitar's history.  This guitar has been professionally set-up by our luthier including a very clean neck reset new hand-carved bone saddle and fret dressing.  Action is perfectly low and the guitar reverberates for ages when strummed.  Includes original 1920s chipboard Geib Case that needs restitching.  This guitar will be well-packed and insured for shipping.   *I have 100% feedback here at CoolOldGuitars and want to keep it that way.  I want all of my customers to be satisfied.  While CoolOldGuitars is a newer Ebay seller, you can check out my 100% feedback at @krl711, where I've been an Ebay member since 2001.  So please ask any questions before purchasing and I will gladly answer to the best of my ability.  I want you to be happy with your purchase, so I have done my best to describe this guitar accurately in the item description, but please also reference all of the included photos, too, as they are considered part of the description.  **If the value of the guitar being sold is more than $300, insurance may be included in the shipping and this cost is the responsibility of the buyer.   ***Because of the time and expense involved in properly packaging and shipping vintage guitars, I do not offer returns, so please bear this in mind when bidding.  Many thanks and happy strumming!
