The Gretsch G5422TDCG features the Black Top Filter'Tron pickups, reverse engineered from Gretsch's Baldwin Dark????ª Era of the 70's, Filter'Tron pickups. They are designed with large magnets and larger than standard poles for thick tones. The pickups feature a jangly top end and, when used with high gain, they produce a singing smooth distortion. With blending capabilities using 2 pickup volume controls, 1 tone control, master volume control and a three position pickup selector you can find your sweet spot whether it be country tone or classic rock vibe. Add the licensed B60 Vibrato system and you can shimmer single notes or entire chords and cover nearly any territory. The thinner 2?? inch body, stable 5 ply Maple laminate body and the post bracing minimizes feedback, increases sustain and adds a snap to your tone. The thinner body also adds a physical comfort that lacks in larger, thicker hollow bodies. The guitar appearance is enhanced by Hump-Block Fingerboard Inlays, Bound Body Top and Back, Bound Sound Holes, Bound Fingerboard and Adjustable Truss Rod. The 5422TDC features chrome hardware and the 5422TDCG features gold hardware.
