Custom Taylor 655CE 12-string. Excellent ++ (near mint) condition. Custom order no-cutaway and abalone purfling around the body like the top of the line 955. Gorgeous quilted maple back and sides and a silky spruce top.Yes this is a CE model even tough it has no cutaway. You can see the label. I called Taylor about it and they told me that, at the time, the only way to get a factory installed pick up was to order a CE model and special order no cutaway. Another custom option is the beautiful Abalone purfling around the body, like the top-of-the-line 955. It has a factory clear pick guard. No visible electronics or controls on the body. Its a great guitar and plays and sounds wonderful acoustically or through the pickup. This guitar predates the Taylor expression system but it is Taylor's standard pickup installation for a CE at the time. There are some light reflections in the photos. They are no scratches or marks.
There are no repairs or flaws that I can find.NOTE: in response to a question below, I updated the answer but can't seem to amend it in the Q&A field, so here is the update:I called Taylor about it and they looked it up by serial number. It  does have an NT neck (they started NT in 1999). But I personally cannot see any sign of the head stock being joined to the neck. It looks like one piece of mahogany but maybe they just did an amazing job. The fingerboard extension is definitely part of the neck structure and not just glued to the top like older Taylors.(If anyone knows how I can amend the answer below, please let me know.)
