Up for sale I have one very lightly use DW Purple Heart gloss lacquer HVLT 5.5x14 inch snare drum. I purchased this drum new 2-3 months ago, and it has only been played on one gig. The original batter head has only a few very light stick marks (I used a different head for the gig). It has been sitting in the original factory box since then. I simply have too many snares and need to fund a new purchase. These HVLT shell snare drums (Horizontal Vertical Low Timbre) are really sweet sounding. The Purple Heart is a great sounding snare drum, a real workhorse. It has the crack of maple,.but has much more bottom end and clarity. It is the only ply snare drum I've owned that rivals my Brady Jarrah ply snare drum. The shell is 100% Purple Heart wood ply with a gloss finish - that's no stain. The drum is suitable for any playing environment. The DW Collector's Series snare drum are world-class instruments in fit, finish and sound. The drum will ship in the original DW box.
