8-string Lap Steel, Schecter body This is an 8-string keyless lap steel made with a Schecter body. This custom crafted guitar was created by Johnie King of Nashville Tennessee. The neck is made with maple that has a 1/4-inch or so lacewood (leopard wood) veneer. Eight keyless tuners are adjusted with a specially made allen-style tuner wrench. Strings go through the body and are secured to a mounting plate with screws on the backside of the guitar. George L 10-1 is in the bridge position and a fairly hot single coil is in the neck position. Three-way switch with volume and tone controls provide what you need to get the sound you want from the two very different pickups. Tone control can be used to get that "BOO-wah" effect, too. Scale length: 24 inches. Has some minor surface scratches. Comes with the custom case shown in the photos and the tuning wrench. Currently tuned C6 (low-high: GACEGACE). FedEx ground shipping.
