Description

Gordon Smith Graduate 60 with lightly flamed top (Possibly Poplar) on a Mahogany body and with a colour matched flame veneer on the head stock of the Mahogany neck, which has a Rosewood fingerboard with jumbo frets. This is a 2004 guitar, though appears to have had very little use and has minimal fret wear. The action is very low and plays easily without any buzzes or choked notes. It's nicely set up and very easy to play. The tuners on this guitar are American made Grover’s, which work very well. It's a heavy guitar, at 10lbs. There are some dings in the back of the body probably caused by not using a stand (none in the neck). I have painted them in but you can still see them (see photos). Apart from that it's in excellent condition and everything works perfectly. It's quite a mean sounding guitar; the heavy mahogany body definitely adds some extra growl and meat to the pickups. I have owned a number of Gordon Smiths and this one has more of a 'Rock' vibe than some - less treble-y. Both tone controls on this guitar are notched for full bypass (I guess). It comes with a nicely fitted hard case which is also in excellent condition.
