Here we have a very rare incredible collector owned NOS 2002 American Fender Special Deluxe Toronado (aka American Deluxe) in a gorgeous Translucent Wine Red. This model was ONLY produced in 2002 and the bulk of them came with P-90 pickups. Other than the dual humbuckers and the obvious body shape, another feature that differentiates this amazing piece from most other Fenders is the Gibson 24.75 scale length and the dual humbuckers which have been upgraded to a calibrated set of brand new Bare Knuckle Holydiver pickups with Battleworn covers. HUGE upgrade in my opinion to the original stock Fender Atomic humbuckers which I still own and will also be included in the sale. The pickup swap was professionally done by my prominent local luthier and the guitar is top notch all the way around. Not a single issue to speak of and plays and sounds like an absolute dream. Not very often will you find one of these for sale and even rarer in such amazing condition. All plastic guards still have the original plastic on them to boot. No breaks ever, no repairs ever, smoke exposure free for life and collector's grade in every department. Simply put, this is a superb guitar that deserves a great owner.Includes Original Fender Hard Shell Case and all case items. The guitar will ship professionally packed and fully insured.
