Vintage 1939 Kay model 859A Amplifier The little guitar amp you are viewing , has been completely restored. As you can see in the next to last photo, there is a parts list, displaying all resistors, capacitors, etc. It shows the model number at the top and the year in the bottom corner. This is a perfect practice amp for guitar and microphone. The chassis consist of 4 tubes, 80, 6N6, 6C5, 6C8 , accompanied by an 8 " Operadio speaker. This unit is original except the wood cabinet was covered with a printed paper. I removed and replaced this paper with a durable cloth and applied several coats of Duralac. Then went back with the original stripe lay out, sprayed and sealed another 3 coats of final finish. The leather handle has a few places of wear, however it is wire reinforced, and has a very unique design. I saved the original (Geib) cabinet manufacturer's emblem, as they were very well known in the early 20th century for creating some of the finest cases for musical instruments such as Gibson and Martin Guitars , and violins , cellos, etc. Emblem is shown in the last photo. I re-papered the inside after replacing all split bend over rivets with 1/4 inch hex lag screws for all hardware. As you can see I used nut and lock washers for the handle. The dimensions are 11.5 " high , 11.5 " wide , and 8.0 " deep. Weight is 15.6 lbs. This is a fine display for a collection and is also a well working unit.Payment is with Paypal ONLY, and we will ship only to the address on your account. Shipping is fixed at $45.00 for anywhere in the continental US Thank you for viewing ,...Richmond Designs Inc
