Up for sale, a 1967 Gibson LG-0 vintage acoustic guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Aside from two tuner buttons, this guitar is 100% original and an honestly played, crack-free example. This classic solid mahogany ladder braced Gibson acoustic has a warmth and lovable boxy quality that helps it stand out in the mix and gives it its unique tonal color. Even with a rich sounding rosewood saddle, the top end is still surprisingly crisp and detailed, and this LG-0 excels in acoustic ensembles and recording sessions where a distinct non-dreadnought flavor is needed. Strung with fresh 12-53 phosphor bronze strings, this guitar has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with comfortable action. The one-piece mahogany neck features a medium C profile with nice round shoulders and fairly consistent depth as you move up the fretboard. The Brazilian rosewood board is a particularly light piece with a dark stripe along the treble side edge, accented by pearl dot inlay. In terms of frets, the stock wide/flat Gibson fretwire is present, and these frets have been recently polished and crowned, showing virtually no wear and playing cleanly up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. The 20 fret neck features a 24 3/4" scale and 14 frets clear of the body. At the nut, the neck measures 1 9/16" in width. Only seen on later LG-0 models, the stock strip tuners have larger lollipop white buttons, and the buttons for the D and G tuners are modern and similarly shaped. These tuners turn well and hold pitch as they should. On the body, the stock rosewood bridge is present with its adjustable rosewood saddle, and the stock tortoise pickguard is also intact. All of the original braces are solid, the top sits flat with minimal (normal) deflection behind the bridge, and this is a crack-free instrument with no structural wear to report! There is prominent finish checking on the body as well as various small nicks and dings from honest use. An extra strap button has also been added to the neck heel for ease of use.A modern hardshell case is included.
