Own a real piece of Gibson History. This is a 2004 R7 57 Dark back Gold Top. It was manufactured in the Kalamazoo factory and was one of 1000 pieces that were auctioned off from that factory and were the last 1,000 to leave the factory as it closed. It is branded on the back as RoadWorn. I had the actual auction lot for this at one time, but it is on a computer that is packed away. It is designated by lot number and serial number on that docket. Those were not just guitars, there were pickups, cases, etc. Whatever was left. An end to Gibson arts and historic history in Kalamazoo. Note: I originally had this listed as a 2003 but was informed the serial number indicates an 04. This guitar is also listed in Reverb and for private sale in the local market. This has a nice chunky 57 neck on it as would be expected. It plays well and is quite resonant. I don't know the weight, but will say that it isn't 11 lbs. There are a couple of finish checks, one can be seen on the headstock. It has bumble bee spragues in it. The nickel finish has some nice aging to it. The case candy is there. I believe, but I will not guarantee that I have the certificate for it. If I can find it and the auction document I will include them or send it to the new owner. I will include free shipping in the lower 48 states for the BIN price. Otherwise shipping will be $75.00 in the lower 48. If you have questions ask. A recent auction sold for over 2500, it was newer, and did not have the known pedigree that this has. Remember, these were one of a kind sales and there were a lot less than 1,000 guitars that were auctioned that last day.
