An unexpected Christmas present means that I have to list this wonderful Gibson Les Paul. I simply have too many guitars and unfortunately one of them has got to go. This is a Les Paul supreme that has had a slight makeover so that it looks like a Les Paul custom. To do this an allparts pick guard has been carefully fitted along with witch hat knobs and pick up selector ring. Les Paul supremes don't have those items fitted at the factory. Obviously those things are easily removed if that's your preference, the original gold coloured speed knobs will be included in the sale. This guitar was made at the Nashville plant on May 5, 2004 it is nearly 13 years old. Considering it's age I think it is fair to describe the condition as very good. Obviously a guitar that has been played for nearly 13 years will have the usual signs of use, light marks here and there in certain light conditions. there is the usual fading of some of the gold but not much, only the strap buttons and 1 tailpiece stud. The truss rod cover and jack socket plate have lost the gold colouring as well, they're both still shiny but chrome coloured. I'm being super critical here but I like my description to be reliable and honest. As it's a 2004 model you get a real ebony fretboard not richlite, and unlike most of the later supremes it's not too over the top on the bling front, the top on this is lovely but not AAAA tiger stripe, it's a stunning guitar to play, very low action with no fret buzz or choking on big bends. Sounds killer though a decent valve amp, these are equipped with the tried and tested 490r and 498t pick ups. The guitar has never had any breaks or repairs of any kind. All in all a great Les Paul with a start price of half its value and no reserve, someone is going to get an absolute bargain. I have a proper guitar box and plenty of packing so postage will not be a problem. Any questions feel free either through eBay or on 07843866203.
