Up for sale in the virtual ebay Drum Hub store is a vintage Ludwig 12 x 22 New Yorker bass drum wrapped in silver sparkle pearl. The shell is 3 ply with re-rings; interior is clear maple with a red date stamp that reads JUN 28 1961, which coincides with the pre-serial numbered Keystone badge. The wrap is tight and sparkly with some uniform fade but not to a ginger ale color. Chrome hardware is bright and shinny with some minor pitting on the lugs and some spots of rust on the claws. This drum comes factory drilled for the old style fold-down spurs and a clock face rail console that has a nickel clip arm. Wood hoops have some areas of missing black paint but the pearl in lay is in tact all around save for one small spot that is covered by a claw. It also comes with the Ludwig chrome cymbal arm that looks like it may be the original piece. The two heads definitely look like the originals. We have the matching 8 x 12 rack tom that came with this drum but it is up for sale separately in our e bay store as well. Sale price for just the bass drum is $575.00
