Regency by Leblanc Holton H878 Double French Horn. Rose Brass – (Roughly 90% Copper, 10% Zinc). Also known as Red Brass, this material produces a warmer tone compared to Yellow Brass. This is a Double French horn meaning the two sets of tubing allows players to switch between the keys of F and Bb by using the trigger valve. I bought this French Horn used in 2010 for $2,300 and played it for 5 years. The sound is clear across its 4 octave range and very resonant. The horn is in excellent condition (see the beautiful pics) The sound quality of this instrument is both lush and velvety as it utilizes the tonal characteristics of Brass and Nickel Silver in the body of the horn along with the superb quality created by the Rose Brass, large throated bell. The retail price for a used Regency by Leblanc Holton H878 Double French Horn is $2,499.
