Dunbar engraved silver and mammoth ivory. Made in 2004 and played by Jim McGillivray as a promotional set for Dunbar bagpipes. I bought this set from McGillivray Piping in 2009. The wood is African blackwood and is as dark as you will find in top quality wood. The silver is Ancient Celtic pattern hand engraved by David Davidse (David Marshall silver) the projection mounts and hemp stops are Siberian Mammoth ivory. No warps or cracks in the wood. Used but not abused. The tone is a bold Henderson tone and rock solid. Not in the photos is a matching engraved silver chanter sole, without chanter. Blowpipe with matching engraved silver bulb and all the drone, chanter and blowpipe stocks. Sold as drones and stocks only.
