The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive! At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving. This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without the care that it, and you, deserve.   This custom built guitar just came in to The Farm on trade - and it won't last long! With this 2013 Legacy custom built guitar comes the COA, the custom build sheet dated 7/2/2013, and a deluxe hardshell case.  This body of this Legacy is Alder (weighing only just under 8 pounds), in Sonic Blue finish. The hard-rock Maple neck is finished in gloss vintage tint with a body color matching headstock, combined with a Rosewood fretboard with white Pearl face dots and 21 vintage-style frets. Additional appointments include the DF Vibrato bridge, 3 ply Tortoise Shell pick guard, S-type cream knobs, a 5-position blade selector, volume, treble, and bass, and 3 G&L CFL-100 Alnico 5 single coil pickups. The Legacy’s vintage-spec CLF-100 Alnico 5 pickups have that unmistakable chime and quack reminiscent of the best examples from the late ‘50s. What’s more, the Legacy features a Leo Fender-designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm. The Legacy’s hard-rock Maple neck, comfortable 7 1/2" radius and 21 vintage-style frets offer silky playability.  G&L was founded by Leo Fender, George Fullerton, and Dale Hyatt in the late 1970s. The G&L name comes from the initials of George Fullerton and Leo Fender. G&L instruments are similar to the classic Fenders, but with some modern innovations. They are built at the same facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California that produced the early Music Man instruments. G&L instruments are not widely distributed but are highly regarded by many musicians and collectors. The relatively small scale of production further allows for more custom options, as seen on this Custom built Legacy, that are not possible on larger production lines. This guitar is required to be listed as seller refurbished by the manufacturer. It has been completely checked over by The Music Farm team, and also by the largest manufacturer refurbishing center in America. Buying one of these guitars is almost like buying a brand new guitar, but getting a huge savings on it! Most of these instruments do not have any visible defects. If there is a visible defect it will be indicated in pictures and in the description. These guitars do not carry the original manufacturer warranty, and in order to prevent invalid warranty claims they are lightly stamped “USED” or “2nd” on the back of the headstock, and the original serial number has been replaced with a new serial number from the refurbishing center.
