For Sale is a beautiful vintage Maton DC545 Semi-Acoustic Guitar that dates from around 1966.
Mots of you reading this will probably already know that Maton are an
Australian company that use the finest local woods to hand make guitars to a high standard that were the equal of other great guitar makes.The DC 545 model was made between 1964 and 1967 (some had the optional Bigsby tremelo, but this one does not) and there were 762 made in total according to the MatonMuseum.com website. For the original brochure see

I have owned this since the late 1980s and since that time it has not been gigged and remained in the same condition. It is a used guitar in very good condition, but it could maybe do with a service.
It has a few minor marks that I have higlighted in the photos but structurally it is absolutely fine. The deco around the Bass enhancer tone control is slightly missing. This guitar to my knowledge is completely original. I am a musician rather than a guitar tech, so I have not tried to make it look good to sell. It is sold and will be shipped in a functional but old and tatty hard case which has writing painted on the front that should be replaced if you are thinking of using it for gigs. The initial price of £1500 is based on the Ebay recommendation following a recent sale of a similar model. However for a further reference see the one on Premier guitars.
