This auction is for Fox Model II professional wood bassoon in excellent condition! Serial number is 5537 which dates to 1975. It looks like this bassoon wasn't played that much at all, key plating and wood finish are in excellent condition for an 40 year old bassoon. There is some scratches on plating at the top sections (see pictures). Wood has no visible cracks or repairs, also this bassoon was recently tuned and tested at the Tim's Band Instrument Service place in Sacramento. There is a small chip where the bocal goes in (see two last pictures) which doesn't effect playability at all. Comes with Pro Tech case and 1 Heckel Biebrich CDE #2 bocal. The price of this new bassoon is over $28,000.
