This is a good banjo, in good condition. Experienced players have played it so I could hear it, and it has a very good sound. I bought it with the intention of learning to play. For a long time I have practiced, but I just cannot make my fingers reach all the strings, to play the cords. Reaching three strings is difficult, but four, impossible, that's the reason for putting it up for sale. The tuning pegs have been replaced with new 5 Star geared ones. The originals were friction. The case is sound in good physical shape, but old, and it looks old, but it is well able to protect the instrument. The key to lock the case is missing, so I always carry it with my arm around it, or a belt or something around it to make sure it will not open. Never had any trouble, but want to be cautious. The picture that shows the back has a reflection of the carpet in it, just in case anyone has a question about it.
