This is the most sought after version. Black label but the label has been removed and replaced with grip tape. You know the age due to the resistors. They are green. The lesser 80's TS9's selling for $500 won't show the insides. The seller does not want to show the brown resistors mixed in which is when the quality started to degrade as the parts ran out. I have another TS9 in another auction. That has the JRC chip. The t chip has more bite. The JRC is a little smoother. Both sound killer. Here is a video comparing the two:

This pedal is not cheap. It took me years to find two this good/working perfect. You can run the risk of buying blown/fixed/modded/cracked solder jointed ones etc but bid with confidence.
