Extremely Rare Pair of AB Pearl EC-61-A Vacuum Tube Condenser Microphones. These were manufactured by Pearl of Sweden in the early 1960’s, not to be confused with Pearl of Japan. I purchased these microphones a few years ago and just got around to checking them out. One concern I had was the power supply, it’s not original and appears to be some kind of home-brew box. I just tried powering up the mics with the supply and found all to be in working condition. I was able to output both Hi-z and Lo-z using the Pearl adapters. No other testing was done. Last year I contacted the good people at Pearl and they were kind enough to forward the a cut sheet and the schematics for power supply and mics. I think they would make a great stereo pair, the specifications are impressive. The amplifier tube in each mic is a XFY-54. You will get all that you see in the pictures. The two mics with wind screens & stand adapters in their boxes, all connecting cables, the cable interface units with selectable output impedances, power supply and the cut sheet with schematics. I don’t have the exact schematic for the non-original supply, but the schematic included should be fine for a reference. Sold As-Is, no returns.
