This is a circa 1947 Los Angeles Olds Special trombone in very good original condition, freshly cleaned and serviced, ready for use. Extremely straight trombone, never damaged/repaired beyond a small dent or two pushed out. Only a couple of scattered pings are to be found on the instrument. There is a difference of about 900 in the numbers on the slide and body. There can be no doubt that the two were paired up at either the factory or point of sale. That wasn't uncommon back then, done for best playability. Slide is excellent- very fast, no wear on the boots. To the best of my ability, I measure this as a dual-bore horn- right about .482" and .497". Comes in a brand new lightweight case. A professional bone playing friend of mind play-tested it. He felt it was very good, and very gutsy.
