This is a real nice 1946 C.G. Conn silver plated 6M VIII alto saxophone.  Serial number is 314XXX.  This horn is coming to you fresh off a complete repad.  The horn was disassembled, cleaned and polished, oiled and all corks, felts and pads were replaced.  The pads are premium leather pads with plastic domed resonators.  It has been regulated and adjusted and is good to go out of the box.  As always, it may be possible you will want this horn setup to your personal tastes or needs upon arrival to you. The saxophone has around 80% of its' original silver plating intact.  It has some small dings, pings and a little push in on the bell brace.  There are a few resolders on the horn but they were done well.  I did my best to show both the beautiful and the blemishes in the photos above and if there is anything else you need to see, just let me know.  All the rolled tone holes have never been filed on.  The micro tuner spins great and the neck shows no signs of pull down.  She plays and sounds fantastic with everything you'd expect from a 6M VIII.  The 6Ms are some of the best saxophones ever made and have been sought after and played by professionals for the last 70 years.  The action is smooth and fast and the tone of a vintage Conn is legendary.  Especially ones like this that are silver plated as well as stamped VIII.  She will ship in a vintage hard case that is in decent condition.  Will be packed well and shipped with insurance.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks!
