NORTHWOODNorthwood guitars are hand-crafted in British Columbia and we are pleased to have this great example of their work in our shop.  Even the sides are bent by hand on these guitars, and they use only solid, book-matched wood in constructing their guitars. All of the interior surfaces are hand-sanded prior to the guitar being assembled, which means that the Northwood guitars are as clean on the inside as the outside! The Northwood Mini-Jumbo delivers a deep, room filling sound. Similar to a J-200 but slightly smaller in size, this guitar sounds very big but retains a clear sweet high end.  This particular model features a Cedar top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, providing a lighting fast response with even the lightest playing styles.  Cedar is ideal for fingerstyle players. Cedar is considerably softer and more responsive than Sitka with lush bass and rich overtones. This MJ features 80 series appointments featuring a wood body binding and headstock overlay, an inlaid herringbone rosette, and a hand-fit, dove-tail neck joint. This Pre-Owned 2002 Northwood MJC-80 Cedar and Indian Rosewood is Good condition with some very minimal playwear, light surface scratches, and a few dings on the top which we attempted to capture in the detailed photos below.
