This is a 1979 Fender hardtail strat. At least that's what it started out to be. As everyone knows the late 70 Fenders had crappy, thick necks. The owner of this guitar at the time elected to have the original neck replaced with a Schecter Research neck and also added Gotohs tuners. In the 90's the Fender pickups were replaced with the Fender Texas Special pickups which were produced to imitate the sound of Stevie Ray Vaughns "Number 1 Strat". The end result is a fantastic sounding guitar that is the easiest I have ever played. The guitar itself is black with the normal scratches and wear you would expect of a guitar at this age. No abuse or cracks. All of the work was done by luthier Rick McKee of Guitar Works in Santa Cruz, CA. Comes with a brand new Fender Strat case. You will love this guitar when you play it. Make a legit offer. I hate to see it go but my rocking days are over! USA addresses only.
