The luthiers at Crimson hand build custom guitars in Dorset, England, and this particular guitar has some very unique and special features. The Raw Descendant Lake Ash model's body is crafted from ash wood which has been retrieved from the bottom of a lake. The water has created the beautiful streaky patterns in the wood. The Lake Ash model has a 1-piece flamed maple neck, with a 25.5" scale length, and a matching maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. The body and neck are both finished in violin varnish. A finish used by Crimson quite often, as this finish becomes slick to the player's own personal style, just like a violin. The Lake Ash Descendant features a single Bare Knuckle Black Dog humbucking pickup in the bridge position, with a coil tap to change it to a single coil, and a three-way tone switch, making the guitar incredibly tonally versatile. The guitar also features Gotoh open backed tuners, and a Hipshot hard tail bridge. Comes with a Hiscox hard case. This guitar was traded in by one of our regular customers. He changes his guitars frequently and swapped this for another one. It has been well looked after and owned for no more than around seven or eight months. The serial number is only no. 10! This is one of the first Crimson production guitars ever made.
