Product DescriptionPRS Paul Reed Smith 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Scarlet Red Guitar This is the PRS Paul Reed Smith 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Scarlet Red Guitar.  In celebration of PRS Guitars’ 30th year, the Private Stock team has designed and built an exceptional sixty piece run of 30th Anniversary Custom 24 instruments, offered in three classic PRS finishes: Royal Blue, Scarlet Red, and Vintage Yellow. This is the sexy Scarlet Red. It features a Carved figured maple flamed top with mahogany back, 25” scale length, 24 fret mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, 30th anniversary bird inlays w/ ivroid purfling, rosewood headstock veneer with inlaid signature & ivroid purfling, PRS machined tremolo, Phase III locking tuners, hybrid hardware, hardshell case. And this guitar is lightweight at 7.6 lbs.  Balancing several of Paul Reed Smith’s design elements from the 1970’s and 80’s with modern techniques and design specifications, these instruments celebrate a historical milestone by embodying everything that has been learned over the last three decades of guitar building. The electronics also include the new 85/15 treble and bass pickups, developed personally by Paul Reed Smith, which are uncovered pickups with remarkable clarity and extended high and low end perfect for more modern applications. This sixty piece limited edition model is an elegant representation of PRS craftsmanship and a poignant celebration of history.   The PRS Pattern Thin Neck Profile was perfected after years of prototyping. The Pattern neck is an updated Wide Fat PRS neck style based on designs Paul Reed Smith did in the '70s and '80s for Carlos Santana, Peter Frampton and Howard Leese of Heart. The "Pattern Thin" has a more narrow and tapered feel than the "Pattern Neck" Profile.
