1962 Fender Jazz Bass Sonic Blue Refin This bass is amazing....plays and sound great and looks KILLER!! It has been refinished in Sonic Blue....there is some Lake Placid Blue in the neck pocket and and back of the neck and neck plate. Not sure if this was the original color as it was Sonic Blue when I got it.The neck stamp reads 7NOV62A. 62 was the first year of the 3 knob Jazz Basses. This bass is all original with the exception of the finish of course and one volume pot and some pickguard screws. Pickups, Volume and Tone pot along with capacitor, Keys, string tree, bridge, covers, pickguard, thumb rest, knobs, control plate and neck plate are all original to the bass. It doesn't have the original case but will ship in 60's Fender hardshell. It also didn't have the mutes when I got it but I bought a genuine Fender replacement set that will be included. This is a good chance to get a true piece of Fender history as 62 was the first year of the 3 knob Jazz Basses. The refin and few other minor issues make this a bit more affordable. This bass would bring over 15k if it were a complete original piece....here's you chance, thanks for the interest. |
