I was planning to never sell this one because it is the BEST sounding one I've ever had... but I just have too many.
Goes great with my Maple Custom set in Turquoise that I have for sale now.This snare has some imperfections on it but is very different from most Maple Customs.This might have been a custom order because I've had over a dozen of these maple custom snares and dozens of the drums..I have never seen the bearing edges finished in the vintage finish or even lacquer, Plus this is a highly figured one. I also just noticed because of a question about a scratch..... No Scratches or scuffs on the inside or outside of shell! It just has what I would say is a slightly textured surface because of the coarse grain of the wood.The inside ply looks very much like the outside figuring...also I saw that what I thought was a scuff is not, just part of the figuring. I show in the pics a comparison to the same normal bearing edge on a Maple Custom tom I have for sale.
This one has been used and shows some light marks on the hoops and lugs but the shell is in a nice aged color MSD-0116 IX-3837..Early 90's
The Lugs are the original design with the anti rotation pin above the attachment screw...they all sit flat with no lifting..I applied a small drop of lock tight to keep them in place.Original Die cast Aluminum hoops..a couple scratches on one of the bottom gatesPure sound wires/Evans 360 HeadsSpecs Specifications Size 14 x 6 1/2 Shell 7-ply maple; 45 degree edge Rim 2.3 dyno hoops Snare pure sound wires
