Description D'AGOSTINO of NEW YORK, USA D'AGOSTINO SIX STRING GUITAR. 1981 EXTREMELY RARE. BEAUTIFUL NECK THROUGH BODY ALL WOOD GUITAR. Label reads “D’Agostino of New York” Based on our research we believe this guitar was PROFESSIONALLY BUILT IN JAPAN BY MATSUMOKU. Background information: FOR THE PAT D'AGOSTINO CORPORATION OF NEW JERSEY IN THE UNITED STATES.Pat D'AGOSTINO formed his distribution company in the US in 1975. Previously he was responsible for the GIBSON/Maestro effects pedals. Initially he had EKO of Italy produce his "BENCHMARK" series of guitars. Later he shifted the production of his guitars and basses to Japan (after a stint in Korea). MIJ guitars and basses are renowned for their high quality construction and attractiveness. This guitar has these features: 1. Neck through body with maple used for the neck and the body wings. 2. Fretboard is Rosewood.3. Most hardware is solid brass. (Tuners on bass are chrome). Note: Tuners have been upgraded to Yamaha closed machine tuners. 4. This is a solid and beautiful guitar that is reminiscent of high quality American built guitars such as Alembic, Veillette Citron etc. This guitar is in very good cosmetic condition. The only slights to the finish are shown in the photos. There is one scratch on the front of it between the two pickups. Also, on the six string guitar there are two sports on the lower bout downside below the input jack. It appears that someone attempted to move the input jack but gave up. In the case of damage during shipment, Buyer shall immediately inform seller of such damage and will maintain all original packing materials and box for inspection by the transportation company.5. If other problems are discovered, Seller will either arrange for repair etc. at a location near the Buyer or request that the Buyer return the guitar to the Seller (Seller will reimburse Buyer for cost of shipment of guitar back to Seller).6. Seller will correct indicated problems and ship the guitar back to the Buyer within 7 days of receiving it.7. In the event that the guitar cannot be repaired or replaced with a similar item from Seller’s inventory, the Seller will give the Buyer Credit toward current or future purchases from inventory of Seller.8. No refunds or returns for Buyer Remorse or Buyer Mind Changing. 9. If there are any undisclosed physical attributes of this guitar that will prevent buyer from playing it successfully, e.g., neck to wide to be played with arthritic hands, guitar too heavy to be played due to back, shoulder, etc. problems, then we will, upon return of the guitar, issue a Credit Memo to Buyer in the amount paid for the guitar plus the cost of shipment paid by the Buyer against the future purchase of a guitar from us ALL TRADES CONSIDERED.
