DescriptionCrossTown Customs creates vintage looking and sounding instruments using original factory Fender guitars and parts to get the look, tone and feel of a vintage guitar without the vintage price tag.  These are not licensed parts guitars that look like a Fender, they are Fender.      This super light (7 lbs, 1 oz) TimeWarp '60 started out as a new 2016 (October 4th neck date) Fender Stratocaster 60s Road Worn, and was taken through the TimeWarp process to make it look and sound like a true pre CBS Strat. It's a full Nitro Strat as is fairly close to how they made them back in the day. The Nitro is thin and the wood will resonate.  There is a lot of checking and player wear that looks real.   The tone is raw Fender attitude and snarl thanks to the original 1990s USA SRV Fender Texas Special pickups with fully cloth wired CTS pots and Orange Sprague drop cap.   The profile on the neck is a C, with 7.25" radius and Medium Jumbo frets.  The dot inlays have been aged to look nicotine stained, and the Nitro shows wear and checking that looks real world.  Part of the TimeWarp process is to remove the serial number and stamp it into the heel of the neck, which adds to the aura and keeps the important serial number with the neck.  The factory decal is aged to look like it's above the finish with the patent numbers, like a true vintage, and #1's number is stamped into the neck plate.    It's a blast to play and feels and sounds as good as it looks.  It comes complete with original gig bag case and case candy (as well as the candy that Sweetwater Music ships with their new guitars).   While it's a relic, it is a new guitar and was created to look this way.  There are no issues, and you get a Custom Shop look and tone for 1/4 of the price.
