Up for auction is a Bach LT12 (the “LT” designates the lightweight nickel slide) in excellent shape. The serial number (100XXX) places it in the early 1990’s. It was purchased from the Brass Ark in L.A., and formerly belonged to an L.A. studio player. The horn has a small bit of corrosion on the bell rim (see pictures); otherwise, it has only the normal wear one would expect in the usual places. The slide is smooth and fast and in good alignment, ready to play. No visible wear on the inners. The horn plays open and has a warm sound, but good edge when pushed a little. It’s a wonderful jazz horn. No mouthpiece. Comes with a Bach case that is sound but a little musty. Middle latch is a little hard to close. Thanks for looking!
