Here is something special in eBay: This is a vintage Buffet Crampon B flat clarinet from 1917 (serial: 1L58*) - LP, low pitch, 440-442Hz. It has sent back its home, the factory of Buffet Crampon located in La Mantes-la-Ville, France, and fully overhauled 31/03/2016 by the best repair technicians in the world. It has unused Gore-Tex pads which is the best solution I know. I have saved this clarinet in my instrument humidor - and played it as one of my professional instruments in many concerts. It's in very good functional condition and works perfectly. It doesn't look perfect, of course, it has its 100 year anniversary this year! There is many marks and signs. There is a crack in the upper joint but it doesn't effect playing; it has been filled and sealed. There is also a small crack to the top of the lower joint, which runs into tenon, it does not affect playing (please look a pics).
This clarinet has beautiful, well-focused and sensitive sound because its different inside bore compared to later clarinets (it's a bit smaller and not polycylindrical). It has nice tuning in 440hz - for 442hz you'll need a barrel one mm. shorter. The supplied barrel measures 66.0 mm. The clarinet is quite a bit lighter than clarinets in these days which is good thing for hands! This clarinet belongs stage - not in a vitrine!Comes with a modern clarinet case.
