For sale is my beloved Voodoo Custom from the New Orleans Guitar Co. This is a special instrument and one that you don't see very often. The tone is broad with amazing clarity and definition. Reviews that I've read online describe a piano like quality that this guitar has in spades. I've never played another guitar like it. Vincent Guidroz hand makes a few of these a year in his shop on Alexander St in New Orleans and his signature is on the back of the neck. (beneath the clear coat) New, they cost thousands more than I'm asking and they are worth every penny. The flamed maple bound cocobolo fretboard inlaid with gentle abalone flame adds subtle elegance to its simple beauty.We have another kid on the way and I need to reduce my collection further to make room and release funds. I've sold a few things on here recently and will have more coming. This guitar belongs in the hands of someone who's going to do something with it. My gigging/recording days are mostly behind me and having this sit in its case would be a crime. This is a collector grade instrument, but I am not a collector.The condition is dead mint. I can't find a single scratch, ding, anything on it. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs. I will not ship this uninsured. Please ask any and all questions before purchase. It was designed around the 25'' scale, 24 fret and 12'' radius because we feel that this not only offers one of the most playable surfaces, but it also lends itself to the sheer versatility of this instrument. The 25'' scale has a low end with all of the depth that you want for chords and jazz, but with a tighter, more percussive edge, and the high end is creamy, articulate but balanced. The necks are book matched with opposing grain and neck through construction for unparalleled stability, access, and response. The bone nut width is 1.69'' making for a comfortable string spread, and the fret board is loaded with medium jumbo frets and left with ample fretboard outside of the string path for a controlled confident playability. Standard neck carve dimensions were taken from some of our most favorite vintage guitars but given a more refined approach in the shoulder and a softer roll at the board's edge. The bodies are chambered for increased mid response and topped with a 3/4'' thick carved tone wood for a truly tailored tonal range for each instrument. Available in a number of wood combinations and options with custom designed humbucker and p90 pickup configurations. Spec:
