Westone Rainbow IIMade in the Matsumoku factory Japan in 1982/3 this is a superb Rainbow II version onewith a fully bound body, neck, soundholes and headstock and with a glued in neck.The Rainbow II has gold hardware and this does show some wear from use as would be expected. There is a small black scratchplate, and two Super Twin 750 pickups each withvolume and tone controls and a three-way switch. (The knobs may well be original but I'mnot absolutely sure). The bridge is fully adjustable and the tailpiece is a stopbar. (Thestopbar fittings are original but the tailpiece is chromed and so may be a replacementbut is certainly a Westone tailpiece). There was an intonation screw missing from the bridgebut I have replaced it with an incorrect one, but one that does the job.The fingerboard is ebony, with twenty-two frets and large mother-of-pearl inlays, andthe headstock has the Westone name and ''Rainbow II'' stamped on the truss rod cover.The tuners are Westone and one has its backplate missing.The action is low and this is a really good player, very hard to find in this conditionand comes in the original Westone hardcase.Any questions please call/text on 07544 887582 or email.
