Heckel Biebrich No.5264 German bassoon with whisper key(crook) and Pre-War Heckel C-2 bocal. The bassoon is complete restored. The pads and corks are new. Pads - Luciano Pisoni De Luxe. Excellent playing condition. All the parts are original and are marked with "Heckel Biebrich" logo. Two repaired cracks on the long joint is visible on the pics (repaired before 40 years), it does not affect to the sound. Modern pitch- 442Hz. Original oil based Heckel varnish in good condition and beautifully aged, made of alpine maple wood, nickel-silver keys, whisper key- crook, high G ring key, alternate B flat key, alternate F sharp key, alternate G sharp key, C sharp trill key, length- 133.5cm. A sweet highly resonant sound, characteristic of the best older Heckel bassoons. Very good intonation. Free blowing sound in all registers. This bassoon is suitable for professional playing.
