An original body shape suitable for all types of music with a solid Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides.The Larrivee L-03R Rosewood Standard Series Acoustic Guitar is the original Larrivee body shape created over 40 years ago. The gentle, sloping shoulders and lower bout produce a powerful yet well balanced sound suited for all types of music. The guitar features all solid wood construction with a Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. This tone wood combination offers a robust tone that's perfectly balanced. The attention to detail is evident and each L-03R includes Larrivee symetrical bracing and a hand-fit dovetail neck joint. Includes original hard shell case. This model is a 2007, and has a pickup with volume knob attached near the sound hole. I believe that I am the second owner, and I have had it about six to seven years. It still has the original owner warranty card never completed or sent in. I think the pickup is a K & K pure western or LR Baggs, but I can not remember for sure. Sounds great both acoustically and plugged in. It's great for both flat picking and finger picking. Overall, just a great sounding and fun to play guitar. The small dings would not show up in the photos. If you look closely, you can see one directly behind the center of the bridge about 1" from the lower bout binding. It looks slightly lighter. The finish is not cracked, but I wanted to mention it. I remember when my friend barely bumped it with his guitar. Again, it is hardly noticeable. Also, one of the original Larrivee tuning keys was slipping, so all tuning keys were replaced about a year ago with Gotoh tuners using the same holes. I will include the original Larrivee tuning keys (with ebony tuning knobs) in the case. Ebony bridge, bridge pins (with abalone inlay) and fretboard. It has a great sound and was typically my "go-to" guitar, but I have had shoulder surgery and will not be able to play guitar for a while.
Needs a new set of strings, and I will include a set in the case, so you'll be ready to install upon arrival. Please see pictures and email any questions prior to the end of the auction.
