Very clean. I bought this from Echinogoya Music while I was in Japan last year. At the time they had several of these 100V Re-201's (as well as 501 / 555's, 301, 101, etc.). After inspecting and listening to each, I decided on this one at last, which was the nicest sounding of them all, but had some minor marks compared to the nicest physical condition one at the store. I bought this there and brought it back to LA where I've been using it about once a month for the past year. The sound of this one with the newish tape is very clear, crisp, and the decays have a warmth that is much nicer than the others. Also inspect the inside of the machine photos. This one by far had the nicest inside, with no rust or mold whatsoever. The main physical wear on this is purely cosmetic, there is a water stain on the top lid, looks like someone left a cold drink there once upon a time.You'll need a step up convertor to properly use this, which can be had for very reasonable prices nowadays. If you dm me I can recommend a few models.
