Here's a pretty little thing with a tightly flamed maple top in a nice lively fireburst finish. The matching headstock is a particularly smart looking touch on this one. The sound is crisp & articulate but still robust. It's got a great solo tone clean or distorted with plenty of yummy overtones. All the notes in chords ring out clearly even with maximum overdrive. This guitar has stopped a lot of traffic in the store already so we're trying not to get too attached.The SSV+ bridge pickup is a versatile vintage style humbucker that's overwound for more power and rich, well-defined upper harmonics. The Mike Landau neck & middle pickup provides all the sparkle one would expect from single coils but never sounds thin or wimpy. All Suhr pickups feature Alnico V magnets which helps maintain punch without costing musicality.The workmanship is quite literally stunning. Tolerances are super tight & the finish is like glass. The compound radius fingerboard features 22 heavy frets that are PLEKed & hand dressed.
