Vintage Ampex 351 1/4" Reel to Reel Tape Recorder & Tube Preamp in CabinetThe preamp portion does power on and all of the tubes light up, but no further testing has been done. The recorder portion looks like it will at least need two new large motor capacitors and the power cord is in poor condition and should be replaced. Also one of the lock down hubs is damaged and will probably need to be replaced. The original cabinet has its fair share of scuffs and scratches. There is a broken piece of wood trim across the top, the broken piece could be glued back on and will be included. Please view the photos carefully as they are part of the description. Due to the age and unknown operating condition of this unit, this auction is AS IS / No Returns.
