Modified by Mad Science Works for midi control. Uses an Axess Electronics CFX4 Control Function switcher with (included) 7 pin cable.
The 7 pin cable goes to the 7 pin jack on the upper right side of the CFX4. This jack has no label, and is NOT a MIDI jack, thought it looks like one. It just contains contact closure connections for the CTL1-CTL4 outputs.
As far as programming the CFX4, read the manual to figure out how to control CTL4 through CTL1. These turn on the buttons on the Koch, from left to right, 1 2 3 4 through that 7 pin cable. Hook up the 7 pin between the 7 pin on the side of the Koch and the upper right 7 pin of the CFX4.The Pedaltone is a semi 4-channel, foot-operated floor unit packed with innovative features and equipped with 4 -12AX7 preamp tubes.
The PEDALTONE was designed for those who need a wide pallet of tube sounds at the tip of their toes both for performing or for recording purposes. This is a handcrafted unit, it's road-proof and built by people who care about guitar tone and quality.
It not only guarantees the Koch sound, it also adds unique new sounds that no other preamp can produce. The pedaltone outputs these sounds to almost any input you can imagine: a mixing console, recording system, 19" power amp, FX return jack or even the input jack of any guitar amp.For reaching new levels of thick, fat, rich, and saturated distortion it has a small 1/2 watt all-tube power amp. This little power stage will enable you to create huge sounds similar to a fully overdriven tube combo or stack. Together with the footswitchable enhancer on the clean channel and the booster function on the distortion channel the range of clean and overdrive tones seems almost endless.
