Description
Circa 1966 vintage Supro Vibra Verb tube amplifier. Very rare and loads of fun, perfect for those who are searching out classic tube tone. This amp is the very sound of garage rock and was most expensive, top of the line amp offered by Supro. This is the 2 x 12" version with the original Jensen Special Design speakers. Date codes on the caps & speakers are in the 1965-66 range so we'll just call it 1966. Cosmetic condition shows some wear and tear with some stains on the covering on the top of the amp, and some corrosion from age. The amp appears very original and unmodified to me, it still has the original two prong power cord and the only repairs I can detect is a little bit of a blue adhesive on the fastener of the cap can and some of the old caps. I have not had the amplifier serviced. I left it as original as possible, to leave it up to the buyer what maintenance work to have done. It sounds beautiful, the tone is raw without excessive noise. It responds dramatically to changes in pick attack. All 4 inputs are working. The tremolo is deep and strong, but the reverb doesn't do very much to alter the sound.
