I've just carried out a full service of this guitar and it really couldn't play any better than it does. 2001 70's Fender Stratocaster in Stunning Hot Rod Red. The guitar has a matching headstock and really looks the business. Pickup covers, scratchplate and controls are aged mint green and really set of the guitar. Unmarked instrument with no signs of any wear and tear. The frets are unmarked and I can't find a scratch on her. I've owned her for the past 10 years and she's not been played as much as she should, this is the reason for sale along with I need some money after christmas so the auction is being started at 99p. The body is standard US and fitted throughout with all original US hardware and micro tilt adjustment. This pickups are fender noiseless and really make the guitar sing. The neck, i think is a non original fender replacement neck as i've never seen a serial number stamped into the heel like on this. It's stamped on gibson style. I've always assumed the previous owner wanted the custom shop logos on the guitar and at the same time had the headstock resprayed. It may be the original but had the serial stamped on as the previous number on the back of the headstock was covered over. I can's say for sure. All I know is the guitar looks, plays and sounds great either through an amp or when played unplugged. I've always loved the matching headstock and not just that, the way it's professionally blended in to the natural wood at the top and bottom of the neck. Headstock is fitted with satin spertzel locking tuners. Action is very low, she really plays like a dream. Everything works as expected there are no issues with this guitar. Comes with hang tags, case candy, trem bar and Fender G & G hard case. Try before you buy is welcomed as is cash on collection. Postage is for insured next day delivery.
