A great transitional instrument for an advanced young player.  Ready to play, with sound post and bridge properly set, though the latter may need some straightening in time. Tone is quite good for a 3/4 size: warm, with a rich G string sound; it projects nicely as well. There are a few scratches on the back and front plates, none to the ribs...no damage to varnish from rosin etc. For the record, my father paid twice the BIN price when he bought it for me a decade ago from a reputable East Coast luthier. Comes with case and R.A Meinel bow (with soundly-repaired break), and is strung with Dominant strings. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like me to send a playing sample. Best offers welcome!note: As this is a high-end factory instrument, the label doesn't bear all that much clout, but here's a transcript anyway: Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis
Faciebat Anno 1721
